As a nation, we are an importer of oil. As a state, we are constantly dependent on others for our energy resources.
I will support legislation that both makes us more energy efficient and environmentally healthy:
- I will support tax reductions for new business that engage in alternative energy, such as wind power and solar energy.
- I will suppoort tax incentives for companies that use clean energy.
- I have drafted legislation that enables local governments to reduce the auto excise tax for motor vehicles that are energy efficient.
